Another Question

I was thinking about applying for one of the part time positions available for 2Ls this semester. I am wondering if any of you worked/are working as a 2L. If so, how many hours did you work per week? Was it worth it?

Thanks! :)

I have worked since my second year in undergrad, and I've found that it actually makes me a better student (I am currently a 3L). Last year, I worked 16 hours a week, mostly on the weekends, and my GPA improved significantly; I worked the same amount of time first year, so I'm sure it's a testament to second year being better than the first. This year I'm maxing out at 20 hours/week. Working forces me to manage my time, so if you are someone who has problems with that, working might help.

work + lawschool = less time to sleep, less time to be with my family and friends...more sacrifices...
im in my junior year in lawschool and of working hard every weekdays...working like 9 hrs a day or even more sometimes. I go to school every weekend..and spend there like 8/9hrs a day.
Sleeping is kinda luxury for me...but i got no choice because if i didnt work i will have nothing to support my education. It's really hard...but i just take it as a challenge.I've sacrificed so much...like not buying the hippiest clothes...not going out (give a lot of excuses)...eating by the budget...and NO LOVE LIFE!!!
They say i cannot serve two masters at a time...by i told myself...what's applicable to others may not be to me.
and so i've tried...and still trying.
to be honest i just fell in love with lawschool...that eventhough it's so much of a challenge for a 25year old lady like me...im holding on to the achievement of my dream.
I believe that if you really want something...you will achieve it no matter how difficult it may seem...
just have enough confidence, persistence, determination, discipline and Faith...you'll get through...and it could be with flying colors! : )
