Interestingly today in Property we were discussing marital assets and the distribution of property following divorce and death.

The interesting part comes in when I came home and saw a news report on Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey. Apparently Nick wanted a prenup but Jessica's Dad told her not to sign it. Consequently, he is now entitled to 1/2 of their assets.

Apparently Jessica is worth 100mil...so Nick is entitled to 50 mil. The reporter was going on and on about how she really got the raw end of the deal by refusing to sign the prenup.

If getting the raw end of the deal is keeping 50mil...sign me up!
